Caoling Historic Trail
Join Parkbus Taiwan for an amazing day out hiking along nearly 12kms of stunning trail on the Caoling Historic Trail. This is a linear trail, or thru hike, making this experience very difficult to complete without your own car. Parkbus Taiwan will offer direct, reservable and same-day return bus service from Taipei.
This trip will drop passengers off in Gongliao District in New Taipei City, where hikers will walk roughly 20 minutes to the beginning of the trail. From September to November hikers will get to hike amongst the Silvergrass, of which the area gets its name. The bus will then pick the entire group up near Dali Train Station at the end of the day. Participants must understand that this is a linear hiking day along the Caoling Historic Trail only. There will be no return transportation from Gongliao District. This trip also requires participants to have decent fitness endurance levels to hike approximately 12km over modest elevation. For the majority of the trail, this is not a technical hike, but the final 2km descent into Dali can be tiring for those with trouble walking down steps.

Daily Tours
• 07:30 – Bus Pick Up: Taipei Main Station（在台北車站集合並搭上 Parkbus）
• 08:45 – Arrive at Caoling Historic Trail’s trailhead（抵達草嶺古道）
• 16:00 – Bus Departure from Dali Visitor Service Center（從大理遊客中心集合併搭乘公園巴士返回台北市）
• 17:30 – Estimated Return: Taipei Main Station（預計抵達台北車站）

This trip will drop passengers off at the Caoling Historic Trail trailhead near Fulong and will pick the entire group up at Dali Visitor Center in Yilan. Participants must understand that this is a linear hiking day along the Caoling Historic Trail between New Taipei City and Yilan County. There will be no return transportation from Fulong. This trip requires participants to have decent fitness endurance levels to hike approximately 10-12km over modest elevation. This is not a technical hike, but does cover some distance.

**WHAT TO BRING**
- Water, lunch, snacks, personal items (e.g. bug repellant, camera, money, etc). Come prepared with everything you'll need for the day
- Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots
- Weather-appropriate clothing. Check forecast closer to trip date
**IMPORTANT**
- You alone are responsible for your safety in the parks and forest recreation areas we visit. Many dangers exist, natural and man-made.
- You alone are responsible for being at pickup/drop-off areas on time. If you miss the return bus, you may become stranded in an area with no cellphone reception and will be responsible for arranging alternative transportation.

**CANCELLATION POLICY**

If trip is cancelled, passengers will get full refund and will get full refund or can transfer payment to a future trip. Guests will be required to pay the difference if pricing of alternate trip is more expense. If the alternate trip is less expensive, we will transfer the difference back to the passengers account.***
